Finally after about 10 long months I have managed to coordinate a trip into town with having my camera in my bag. Thus meaning all those amazing pictures of general goings on in my life have finally been extracted off the memory card and burnt onto disk. Would you believe?
So I can, at last, upload these pictures of the day that I helped out with the commercial music student's music videos.
phew!
This was during the filming, it was quite exciting to be on set and we were given lots to do. As a classic runner I was asked to collect, label and organise the tapes for each performance. We had 4 cameras on at a time shooting from different angles. There was a certain amount of creativity from the students but most of them opted for a layout like the artist above. Very much like a gig.
I really had presumed that because they had hired in a company from Bristol to do the filming we would be stood on the sidelines and allow the professionals to film and have all the creative ideas. In actual fact I spent most of the time during the day behind a camera filming the goings on. The director would suggest a shot and position the camera but during the filming it was up to you how you interpreted it.
Loved it! Well worth the sacrifice of one day of holiday!
